Hi, my name is Tom, I am 54 years old, started fooling around with high voltage at an early age with an old model T Ford spark coil housed in a wooden box, then a Jacob's ladder made from an oil burner transformer. I built my first Tesla coil at age 14, it fogged out the TV reception for the entire neighborhood. I exploded the glass and tin foil capacitor on my 15th birthday, the spark gap was too wide.

A job at Honeywell testing bombs got me enough money to get through Mechanical Engineering school at The University of Minnesota. I graduated in 1968, with the Viet Nam War going full blast, spent six months in the U S Army Reserves, then continued on to grad school at Stanford and got an MS degree in ME and pre-med. Spent the next fourteen years going through med school, general surgery training, playing with nerve gas in a physiology lab, and Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery fellowship.

I have been working, in Minneapolis as a Plastic surgeon since 1984, but never forgetting my engineering background, I invented and patented a laser assisted liposuction device.

This IEC stuff is great! I can't wait for one of you guys to make the big fusion break through, fusion is the only way we are going to solve the energy problems of the future.
