I put this up on the old BBS but a couple of folks have asked me about this reference I quote so frequently. Here it is.

***************************

Fast Neutron Physics, Marion, J and Fowler, J. L. Interscience, New York, 1960, Two volume set, 2292 pages

***************************

A treasure trove of delights for the neutron data craving mind. Lotsa' stuff on metrology, sources, TOF measurements, experiments, safety issues, etc. You'll never find its equal in todays world. Old school stuff of the first rank. Long, Long out of print has to be hunted down. I have two matched sets on hand. One set is a ratty and highlighted working set laying about the lab with potato chip grease and grumbs interleaved with numerous postit note page markers and pepsi bottle rings on the covers. The other set is a pristine reference copy on my scientific library shelves.

Tip.....volume I is the most valuable of the pair of volumes. Often you can only find one or the other volume offered for sale. Real, hard bitten fusioneers will demand the brace for their edification.
