It occurs to me that one should be able to discern 3 peaks in the charged particle output from a D-D fusor using a semiconductor detector, representing respectively the proton, tritium, and 3He reaction products. If the depletion depth of the detector is adjusted via the reverse bias to optimize proton detection, the two other products should also be detected efficiently. This would be pretty conclusive evidence of fusion, and I wonder why the research teams using semiconductor detectors have not tried this...
