Used neutron counters which are reworked and gauranteed might be priced in the $2000 range. New counters are in the $4000 range.
I purchased all of my surplus neutron counters of the BF3 variety off of E-bay. The most expensive one was $625.00. It worked perfectly. The new price was around $3500.00 in 1987 when it was new.
