If you are using a metal shelled fusor of .060 inch thickness or more and place a thin lead cover over your view port, you can expect ZERO x-radiation from the fusor. That is up to about 80kv input voltage.

Above 80 kv, the radiation coming out of the shell could be severe and special shielding will be required.

The port glass should issue x-rays around 17kv, but they will be weak At 30kv, at the surface of the exposed glass, I read about 3-5 roentgens with my "cutie pie" ion chamber meter.
