More grist for the mill.

In further study, I find that in the energy range 50kv to 400kev the neutron-He3 reaction is MORE likely than the proton tritium reaction! So it is not 50:50 at our energy levels. No figures are given, just a statement that researchers found the disparity at lower energy levels in the d-d reaction. From about 400kev to over 1mev the reactions are virtually 50:50.

At higher energies still, it is stated that a tertiary reaction involving the "breakup of the deuteron" is possible and observed. this reaction is endothermic! (Is this the stipping so often mentioned?!) If so it is at deuteron bombardment energies above 1mev and is not in our range.
