I found an abstract for a paper presented this October (10/2000) by IEC researchers at the University of Kyoto describing simultaneous measurements of proton and neutron production from their device. Neutrons were measured using a 3He proportional counter, and protons were measured using a semiconductor detector. Protons were more or less at the expected energy(~3 Mev), and they found a linear correlation of proton and neutron production for various applied voltages. They cite both of these findings as conclusive evidence of D-D fusion reactions.
