What Miley has been up to lately

Hi all,

I'm not sure if this is the right forum, but for those interested in what George Miley of IEC fusion fame has been up to lately, checkout:

http://apc2000.jpl.nasa.gov/proceedings/Fusn_PR7_M.pdf

Its a presentation from the latest NASA conference on advanced propulsion concepts. He and his associates have been doing some experiments on what at first glance looks like classical cold fusion. But when you look closer it could be more accurately described as "proton induced fission" or "proton catalysed fission".

Their whole experimental setup follows that of cold fusion (e.g measuring excess heat, loading palladium with hydrogen etc.), so I was wondering if, that even if they were too polite/embarrased to say so, could this be the explanation for cold fusion?.

Comments anyone?.

regards
IJV
