Miley and his group are old hands at the study of CF and related phenomenon. Thanks to Parks and others, his scheduled government supported work into LENT (Low energy nuclear transformation) was never funded. I feel that this was a travesty. A good scientific look at this based on the work of Bockris (SP?) at Texas A&M would be a welcomed effort. Bockris was another good man who got thrown to the wolves, but came back fighting during the heat of the CF controversy in the early and mid 90's. His story was well documented in a recent Infinite Energy cover article.
I feel that the reason Miley and so many others, many of them first rate investigators, hang on to the CF dream is not so much the real belief in CF as a reality, but sensing some kernal of value is hidden in the experiments which eludes us. (probably because we all learned to think by wrote in lock step and it ain't easy kicking a habit which keeps you warm and cozy amoungst your peers.
I will not condemn the CF efforts ongoing to this date. I will take the "wait and see", but "show me" path while the more capable feret out the kernal, if it exists.
I just have a gut feeling we are either on the cusp of a major scientific revolution and renaissance or the fall of science in the mind of man. Ultimately it may be relegated to a form of religon with the new priesthood at the helm, with theories replacing faith. Technology and money drive science today, not the other way round.
