Those are some good ideas. There have been others on the old board such as water cooling via hypodermic needle tubing used for grid construction, etc. (available in spools from Mc Master-Carr.)
your posting would have been better as a separate topic of discussion under the "Fusor Construction forum", as it relates to the nuts and bolts engineering of the device. Tucked away in this older unrelated post it will definitely be missed by many.
No one has yet moved on any active or passive cooling system as the power densities are still rather low in the amateur effort. It has been sufficient, thus far, to have short burst runs of high activity to avoid melting the SS grids or longer runs at moderate power using Tantalum grid wires.
