My trap is a micromaze sold by Kurt Lesker and co. It costs about $350.00 and is worth much more. It is sold with bakeout heater and doesn't require the dusty and replacable zeolite found in common traps. Pretty much a plug and go system and will allow about another order of magnitude in vacuum pull down on a roatry pump. (sub micron).
Most surplus traps use the zeolite granules or pellets. and are a bit larger than the micromaze.
Using a trap wisely forces you to purchase two extra vacuum valves (another $400.00). I have posted extensively on this on the old BBS which is still up.
