Re[2]: "diesel cleaning" the direct drive

The pump has been restored completely.

The last problem was a screw in front of the pump used for draining the oil. It was broken and locked inside, loosing oil. (made of plastic, fantastic ?)

I have found it to be a 3/8" gas type screw.
So I put a nipple 3/8" - 1/4" in place and screwed a little ball valve (gas rated) on the 1/4" side. All was sealed with Teflon tape. Result: No oil leaks ! and a better way to drain the oil.
Now it takes to measure the performance with my Pirani gauge... as soon as I order the KF fittings...

Vacuum is expensive ! ...now I know.
