How hard is it to add a gas ballast valve to a Welch 1400?
Obviously mine doesn't have one.
I have looked at the parts list for Welch pumps on there web site, and it looks like there is a plate separating the two vane chambers that has port passages to the valve. Also, on my pump, there are two very tempting looking bolts on the side of the pump, between the chambers, that appear like plugs of some sort. Could these be somehow tapped into to provide a vent?
