Throttle Valve Controller
Index Previous in Thread Next in Thread

I have in my posession a MKS 253 throttle valve and a couple of MKS 252 valve controllers. I'm thinking of using this combination with a turbo pump and capacitance manometer to regulate the pressure in my fusor (continuous gas flow). Since I want to regulate at <0.5 micron, this means that the output of the capacitance gauge will be pretty low, and maybe not enough for the valve controller to operate properly. I am thinking of inserting a fixed gain block in between the gauge and controller to present a larger signal to the valve controller. Does anybody have an idea of whether this sort of dodge would have a chance of working?
