You should also check the thermal protector, and (if it has one) the starting switch contacts and springs, assuming this size is large enough to require a starting winding.
Motor windings will be a few ohms so you can check them for continuity with an ohmmeter. Start/Run Capacitors can fail shorted or open. If it is a series cap, you will get an open indication with a DC ohmmeter. But you knew all that, right?
