While this post is intended primarily for Richard Hull, helpful comments from the rest of you will be appreciated. Having seen the Fusor video, I decided this would make a fine Senior project toward my B.S.E.E.. I was wondering about how one can get deuterons up to fusion energy by accelerating them down a potential of 10^4-10^5 V. I will have to treat this aspect of my calculations with the utmost rigor, having a skeptical pair of academic advisors. Can you recommend some reading material on how virtual electrodes are formed within the plasmoid or the interior of the spherical cathode for that matter?
