I would imagine that it would be much smaller than the inner grid diameter, possibly restricted to the small central knot you have reported seeing when the fusor is fusing.

What I was interested in doing is tying your reported neutron rate to a graph of fusion reactivies expressed as MeV-cm3/s vs the IEF well depth in kV
