>Two comments: Re: Plastic Bell Jars. I'm not sure how many different makes there are, but there are both Nalgene (Polypropylene - I think ) and Polyetherimide (PEI) which is much stronger and capable of higher temps. But.... sidewall flexing makes it difficult to get a good seal at the base.
>Re: Metal spinnings... if you check locally, you may find some machine shops that do metal spinning. A major cost is preparing the form, which is usually made of rock maple...the actual spinnings are pretty inexpensive, once the setup is in place. Perhaps someone could get a typical design and collect orders.
