In this area a friend has suggested we cause some intentional implosions inside the implosion shields using some kind of bowl or substitute for the chamber, just to get a feel for what to expect if it were to happen while pumping down for a fusor run. When I figure out how to protect the pump, I just might try it. Also we're going to be pumping down some spheres I've found to see if they will survive the vacuum.
