I hate to think I discarded the patent idea if there really is some truth to it.

Yes. Potential gradients were shown experimentally and proven theoretically NOT to augment decay significently years ago, before the patent was filed. That I was able to verify. Still, if there is an electro-weak theory extension that has anything to say about the subject I'd be interested in learning about it. Rob.
