question,
wouldn't a fusor work better if the inner
tungsten or tantalum electrode was constructed as a themionic emitter.
the power from the discharge would serve to heat the electrode. the electrode could be an triple oxide coated tunsten strip or wire.
straight tungsten or tantalum has a pretty high work function and is not a great emmitter.
wouldn't an electron cloud from the inner electrode, increase the usable current of the fusor, increase efficiency, increase ion focusing, as well as improve the longevity of the electrode.
