I talked to Dr. Knoll this morning, and he says that his third edition will be coming out at the beginning of 2000, and that he has updated the neutron detection section. (His 2nd was published in 1989 and costs $90 on Amazon, ascompared to $20 for his 1979 version on abebooks. Ouch!) I will try to be patient - after all, "Ionized Gases" should take at least that long to absorb!
