Hi guys, I did not want to post this until I was sure of it. I checked with some friends and they told me that for the pulse experiments the silver activation would work just fine and to calibrate the readings they suggested using some isotopes with predictable decay rates.

So, after you do a test run you can get your reading with very good accuracy with the calibrated detection device and a silver foil as your activation surface.
