calibrated leak.jpgWould it be possible to manufacture a suitable gas leak valve by using a piezoelectric disk element pressing up against a small gas nozzle like those found in blow torches. The gas nozzles are already a relatively small opening and if a disk element covered it and was spring loaded around the rim it would be just a matter of feeding a pulse width modulated signal to the element to vary the time it's open for and feed micropuffs of deuterium into the fusor. Of course there are also problems like the fact that these are all brass items and may outgas all the time.
