Is it possible that a boride coating ,either by boronising in a molten borate bath or by sintering on powder onto fabricated grids would facilitate thermionic emmission?
Borides are apparently quite stable in Hydrogen ,though I am unaware of their emmission in Hydrogen at low pressure.
