I'd check and verify that the output is 100 mA, and not 100 microamps. Most of those copier supplies are used for generating corona to charge the drum surface, and don't put out much current.

Also, the insulation on them is such that one could not hook the outputs in series.

There are a number of lightweight HV power supplies around using switching technology, but I haven't seen them surplus yet (on the other hand, I haven't really looked, either).
