If you are referrring to the Farnsworth/ITT fusor project, the answer is no! I have inquired, and now that ITT is made over and disbursed to the four winds, no one knows anything! There is no sense of history, no corporate historian, etc.

You are on your own to re-invent the wheel!

I have done a lot of long inteviews, some in person with the remaining team members, but their memories of detailed specifics is very cloudy at best. Still it beats guessing or wild speculation as is so often written about the Farnsworth effort.

Is there any known effect, positive or negitive, on the operation of the fusor caused by this motion. My pump is being setup isolated from the fusor's table after seeing this associated vibration.

There is no interesting or unusual phenomenon associated with a jiggling outer "jello grid". This interesting item dissappeared with heavier chambers and rigidly mounted lead in lines to the chamber. That early machine's outer grid was not fixed as rigidly as grids in following models. It was a quick throw together to dip my feet into the waters. For all its shortcomings, it was the most fun I have had in years. RH

Every thing I see and read requires a change/improvement in my setup, probably the one true advantage to following in others footsteps.

I sugest you run your setup without improvement. Learn by doing. Knowledge gained will fix in your head better if you experience it.

I am looking forward to your postings as you advance in this area.
