All,

Those interesting in obtaining new detectors listed in the title of this post can check out LND, Inc. I have bought GM-tubes from them in the past and just received a quote on some their items.

There website for those who want to prowl and pick up data sheets is:

They have a superb pancake Alpha, Beta Gamma detector number 7311.

They also have a very large selection of neutron detector tubes as well. Some of there He3 tubes are filled to as many as 10 atm pressures. All this assumes that:

1. You have the $400-800 for a new, calibrated, BF3 or He3 tube ,,,,and

2. Have the skill sets needed to build and test the electronic circuitry to supply the 1500-2500 volts to the tubes and the 1-5mv high speed preamp.

For those who don't mind taking a chance on used materials and a very limited selection, O.E. Technologies offers both BF3 and He3 tubes at about 1/3 the above prices. It is best to call to see what is on hand now as the stock shifts.
