It is better to get the 5" PMT for the 5" scintillator. I got one at a hamfest two years ago in box, new. It was another Hamamatsu and has the require S-11 response. I think I paid about $30.00 for it. I have no socket and am looking at about $36.00 for that puppy! More than the tube! Sigh.

I have the 5" BC-720 and now only have to work up the housing.
