Richard Hull's message about his intent to eventually try a pulsed fusor got me thinking about the dynamics of the formation of the potential well in a fusor, something that does't generally come into play at low current DC operation.
I'm wondering if it's better to apply current to a pulsed fusor with no sustain between pulses, or whether to apply the pulses on top of a "keep alive" current of several mA.
George Miley has some speculative papers about pulsed fusors - by any chance has anyone read them? Fess up....
As usual, food for thought.
