Nice idea Scott! Timimg and duty cyccle would crucial, of course, and would be totally determined by geometries and pressures. Worth a try for those with the ability and capability to do such high level switchng tricks. I am still playing with continuous mode, fiddling with the lab infrastructure and hoping to makeup Fusor IV soon.

Lotsa' ideas - little time or money to check most out at the amateur level. Nonetheless, someone might check it out.
