You are quite right, there are business model changes afoot at Intranets.com.
I am in contact with the management of Intranets.com, and I have a strong sense that they are on the right path: If there is anything else we have learned in the past year, it is that advertising will not support internet businesses, and other models are going to have to be deployed.
There is no rush to start saving the content of this site. I pledge now that necessary, I will personally bear the cost of maintaining this site for at least one month, which will give us more than enough time to archive if necessary.
However, given what I know now, I'm not advocating a move. At the very least, I'm advocating a dialog, and with that we will collectively determine the best course.
Your concern is justified, but there's no need to panic. We've been down this path before; let's make sure we make the right decision to make sure we don't have to go down it again.
