Hi Richard, The main reason I ask about fusor size is that it's kind of hard to judge relative size of the ion gunned units which are on the Philo Farnsworth official website. in some photos they do appear a bit bigger. Without fusion having been accomplished in the lab on a relatively larger scale than those to date using particle accelerators, I dare say there are a few surprises in store for those that end up doing it, as that account you recorded shows. I'm a lot more optimistic about serious amounts of net energy from fusors after reading the original posting, as for X-rays causing the badge fogging it's very hard to say one way or the other although it would have had to have happened before power was cut to the unit. Are there any X-ray making reactions not requiring high speed electrons?.
