tnx Richard, I am infact trying to understand if (for a newbie like me) it's better a TDS210 (good price, easy to use, full featured) or a PC based (like Gage/Tektronix)... They have various models from 8bit single channel, up to 16bit 4 channel (all are modular). Portability is an issue. You should move the entire pc. :-/ The amount of features promised on pc boards looks good too. I also see Oscopes are changing their tech to DSP, so in a few months the price for a TDS210 should fall a bit.
PC or not PC, this is the question...
